This page fills in as jobs finish. We would rather show a thin grid of our own work than pad it out with stock photos of somebody else's yard.
This is where our finished work lives. It is a working gallery rather than a portfolio, so it fills in the order jobs get done. There will be stretches where a busy week produced good work and no photos at all.
Illos Property Care is owner operated out of East Amherst and the LLC was formed in 2024, so the archive is short by design. What is here is ours, shot on properties we actually take care of. Nothing on this page is a stock image and no photo is borrowed from another company.

What to look for in good work
Shot from the same spot
Where both frames exist, the before and the after were taken from the same position on the same property, so the change you see is the real one.
Ask for a street
Call and we will point you at a property near you that we maintain. Drive past and check the edges yourself. No appointment, no sales visit.
Same crew, every visit
The people doing the work in these photos are the people who show up at your house, in July heat and in February snow. Owner operated, out of East Amherst.
What kinds of work show up here
Most of what we do falls into a handful of repeating jobs, and those are the jobs that end up in front of a camera. A lawn cut, trimmed and edged on the same weekday all season. A yard cleared of leaves in November and cleared again of matted grass and road grit in April. A bed line rebuilt with a hard edge and fresh mulch. A bare, compacted strip of ground stripped out and replaced with new sod.
Other jobs are less photogenic and more satisfying. A garage emptied out and hauled off in one trip is junk removal at its most useful, and the only evidence is a clean floor. Storm brush dragged out from behind a house and hauled away after a wind event off the lake looks like nothing at all once it is gone.
Winter is the hardest to document. Plowing happens at four in the morning in blowing snow, and the crew is working, not staging shots. If you want to see what a finished driveway looks like at our standard, the honest answer is to ask us for an address near you and drive past it after the next storm.
How to judge a landscaper by the finish
You can tell a lot about a crew from the last ten minutes of a job. The mowing is the easy part. The finish is what separates one company from the next, and it is the thing worth looking hard at in any photo a contractor puts in front of you.
Here is what we check on our own work before the trailer pulls out of a driveway:
- Straight, consistent mowing lines with no scalped high spots
- A clean cut edge where turf meets driveway, walk and curb
- Beds edged in one continuous line, not a scalloped wobble
- Mulch pulled back off trunks instead of piled against them
- Clippings blown off concrete and back onto the lawn, never into the street or a storm drain
- No wheel ruts through soft ground near the tree lawn
That last one matters more here than people expect. Where a yard sits on the clayey lake plain soil found across this corner of New York, water moves through the ground very slowly, so it stays soft for days after a thaw or a heavy rain. A heavy machine driven across a saturated lawn leaves scars that are slow to grow out. Slowing down, waiting a day, or walking a mower where a rider would sink is part of the work. It never shows up in a photo, which is exactly why it is worth asking about.
Why before and after beats a single pretty shot
One photo of a finished yard tells you the property looked good on one afternoon. It does not tell you what the crew started with, and that is usually the interesting part.
The jobs worth photographing twice are the ones that changed condition. A yard buried under a winter of leaf litter and salt grit before a spring cleanup, and the same yard raked out, edged and hauled clean in a single visit. A bed line that had crept and blurred over years of mowing around it, cut back sharp. A thin, weedy front lawn replaced with turf that actually knits together.
When you look at a before and after from any company, check that both frames were shot from the same spot in similar light. Shifting the angle, waiting for a sunnier day or shooting the after in wet mulch are old tricks, and they hide more than they show. Check the edges of the frame too. A handsome bed with a stripe of uncollected debris sitting just outside the crop is a tell.
We would rather post a plain photo of an ordinary yard done right than a staged one of a showpiece.
What a photo cannot tell you about a crew
A gallery is a starting point. It is not evidence that a company answers the phone in July, turns up the morning after a lake band parks over your street, or leaves the neighbor's driveway alone while it clears yours.
So use the photos for the one thing they are good at, judging finish quality, and check the rest directly. Ask us for a street near you where we already work. We work across Amherst, Clarence and Williamsville and down into Buffalo, Cheektowaga and the Tonawandas. Drive by on your own time. Look at the edges yourself.

You will get a number, a start date and a straight answer about whether the job fits our schedule. If it does not, we will say so rather than string you along. Why are there only a few photos on this page so far?
Illos Property Care is a young company. The LLC was formed in 2024, and the first seasons went into working rather than building a photo library. Instead of filling the grid with stock images of yards that are not ours, we add real jobs as they finish. If the page looks thin the week you visit, call and ask what we have done near you recently.
Can I see a property near me that you already take care of?
Yes, when there is one nearby. Give us your street or the nearest cross streets when you call and we will tell you what we take care of close by, or say straight out if the nearest job is not worth your drive. Where there is something to look at, go past on your own time, check the mowing lines and the bed edges, and decide from there. No appointment and nobody knocking on your door.
Will you put me in touch with people you already work for?
We can, once we have asked them first. We will not hand out a customer's phone number without their say so, and we do not put customer reviews or quotes on this site at all. Ask when you call and we will arrange an introduction. Most people are happy to spend two minutes answering questions about whether a crew shows up when it says it will.
Do you photograph my property, and where do the pictures end up?
Sometimes, and only the work itself. We take before and after shots on jobs where the change is worth recording, mostly cleanups, bed work and sod. Nothing goes on this page without your okay, and we keep house numbers, plates and windows out of frame. Tell us at the estimate if you would rather we did not photograph anything at all and that is the end of it.
How far do you travel, and does distance change the schedule?
We work out of Casey Road in East Amherst and cover twelve communities across Erie and Niagara counties, from Clarence Center down to Buffalo and out to the Tonawandas. Distance does not change how a job gets done. It does affect which day of the week your street lands on, because we group work by area to keep drive time down and the crew on site longer.
What happens between my first call and a crew showing up?
You call or send a message, we ask a few questions and set a time to walk the property. Estimates are free and done in person. You get a price and a start date. For recurring work we tell you which weekday your street is serviced. For one time jobs we give you a date and we turn up on it.
